Last week a major International printing
and mailing company has awarded Apex
Automation and Robotics a contract to implement a new Materials Handling system in their Sydney Distribution Centre.

This new system is custom-designed to accumulate, marshall and divert boxes of various sizes at a throughput rate of up to 2000 boxes/hr. A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with an operator’s interface is used to control the overall system and monitor the operation.

This project is a full turnkey system, engineered from concept through to mechanical and electrical design as well as software development by our engineering team. It will help the client increase their productivity and it offers maximum flexibility which is a main requirement in this fast moving industry.
